Lionel Messi named ‘The Most Valuable Player in the World’



Lionel-MessiAccording to a new report, Lionel Messi is The Most Valuable Player in the World while Eden Hazard surprisingly comes second

Barcelona star, Lionel Messi has been named The Most Valuable Player in the World.
The Argentine captain according the latest report by the International Centre for Sports Studies (CIES) Football Observatory is valued at $321m.
Chelsea forward who was named the PFA Player of the Year in the English Premier League, Eden Hazard was a shock number two on the list ahead of current Ballon d’Or holder, Cristiano Ronaldo.Most-Valuable-players
(CIES) Football Observatory after a comprehensive study of players in Europe’s top five leagues – the Premier League, La Liga, Bundesliga, Serie A and Ligue 1 – reports that the Belgium international is valued at between $140m-155m ahead of Ronaldo.
While carrying out the study, CIES took player’s age, position, length of contract, international status, experience and performance.

The PFA Player of the Year was second only to Lionel Messi, who is worth up to £207m, while Real Madrid forward Ronaldo completed the top three.
Barcelona star, Neymar is at number four while Manchester City striker, Sergio Aguero is at number five.
Liverpool starlet, Raheem Sterling is at number six, Paul Pogba at number seven, Diego Costa at number eight, Alexis Sanchez at number nine and James Rodriguez at number ten.
