FIGC Headquarters Raided - Report

Officers reportedly conducted a search on Wednesday at the organisation's headquarters in Rome

The headquarters of the FIGC (Italian Football Federation) were raided on Wednesday as part of an investigation into the conduct of vice-president Claudio Lotito, according to Italian news agency
ANSA.
ANSA claim Lotito, who also serves as president of Lazio and co-owner of Salernitana, is being probed on accusations of attempted extortion and alleged illegal funding to football clubs in lower leagues.
Officers from Digos, the Italian Special Branch, reportedly started searching the Federcalcio offices on the request of the Naples public prosecutor’s office.
It is claimed the probe was initiated after a recording of a phone call featuring Lotito was handed to investigators by Pino Iodice, the director general of Lega Pro side Ischia.
