A 25-year-old final medical student has died after a fire that broke out at the student hostel of the Russian National Medical Studies University on the 22nd of April.

Rajesh Kumar, who suffered severe burns in the fire incident, had been on admission at the Sklifosovskogo hospital in Moscow, The Star reports.
But he died of lung and heart complications last Saturday.
His 52-year-old father, Krishna Kumar, on Wednesday said the family had hoped he would come out of the hospital alive.
"We had hopes for him to live through the ordeal although he suffered severe burns and my son has a strong spirit," Kumar said.
"Not even once Rajesh had complained that he was in pain and he was always smiling when we spent time with him there."
The bereaved father said his son's health was improving before the relapse that led to his death.
"His health was improving day by day and we were totally devastated when his condition took the turn for the worse and passed away.
"My son is supposed to return here and he had chosen to do his practical at either the Universiti Sains Malaysia in Kubang Kerian or the Sultanah Zainab II hospital, to be closer to the family."
Another student, 25-year-old Nor Atikah Ali, died from respiratory problems on May 5.
