Nigeria Rise In FIFA Ranking



The Super Eagles have moved two steps higher from 45th to 43th in the latest world
ranking released early today by FIFA in Zurich, Switzerland..
Nigeria however also moved from eight
to seven position in Africa.
Algeria still held on to the continent’s
top spot and 21st globally, and so was
Africa champions Ivory Coast who sit
second in Africa and 24th in the world.
Ghana have heavily dropped in FIFA
ranking with eight points. The West
Africa country moved down from 26th to
34th position and occupied third
position in Africa .
Meanwhile Belgium have jumped above
Argentina into second in the latest
edition of FIFA’s world rankings – their
highest-ever position. Switzerland slip
out of the top 10 to 11th, while
Madagascar are the biggest movers, up
37 to 113th.Maldives suffered the biggest
drop, falling 38 positions to 178th.
