Google officially announced in a blog post, that it will be pulling down its Website Acceleration tool, PageSpeed, on August 3rd.
It also added that it is planning to re-focus its efforts on some other ventures.
Google has asked subscribers to the service to try
out other alternatives to PageSpeed for easy migration of website
assets on the server.

The PageSpeed service has been Google’s flagship
offering in the area of website optimisation for over 5years. It applies
some unique customisation tricks like compressing CSS, HTML or
JavaScript files, compressing image and other website files.
