A’Ibom: Afaha Obong Village Youth Executives Dissolves
The office of the
Paramount Ruler
of Abak Local
Government
approved the
dissolution of all the
village youth leaders
and their executives in Afaha Obong
Clan following the expiration of their
tenure.
A statement jointly signed by the
National President, Afaha Obong Clan
Youth Association, Prince Nsikan Ibanga
and General Secretary, Mr. Paul Enwe,
directed that a new executive should be
constituted immediately to pilot the
affairs of the 24 villages of Afaha Obong
Clan.
According to the statement members of
the dissolved executives have the right to
re-contest for another term in office.
The statement further hinted that the
National Executive of Afaha Obong Clan
Youth Association shall witness and
conduct free, fair and transparent
election that will be acceptatable in all
the 24 villages of Afaha Obong Clan,
otherwise such election will not be
accepted.
While counting on the support and
cooperation of entire youths of Afaha
Obong Clan towards constituting new
executives in all the villages, the
National Executive advised interested
persons to purchase their forms from the
Eleco Chairman at 3 Wing Comm. F.J.
Udoh close, off Offort Road, Abak.
Meanwhile, the Afaha Obong Clan Youth
Council has congratulated Mr. Udom
Emmanuel on his emergence as the
Governor-elect for Akwa Ibom State.
In a congratulatory message signed by
the National President, Prince Nsikan
Ibanga and General Secretary, Mr. Paul
Enwe described the victory as
meritorious, well-deserved and clear
manifestation of the wishes of Akwa
Ibom people.
The Afaha Obong Clan Youth Association
also rejoiced with an illustrious son of
Abak Local Government Area, Mr. Moses
Ekpo on his emergence as the deputy
Governor-elect for Akwa Ibom State.
The Association expressed the hope that
Mr. Udom Emmanuel and Mr. Moses
Ekpo will use their wealth of experience
to continue with the uncommon
transformation project of the Akpabio;s
administration and take the state to the
next level.
While praying God to give them the
requisite wisdom to discharge their
duties effectively, the Association
however appealed to them to concentrate
on the area of industrialization so as to
create employment opportunities to the
unemployed Akwa Ibom indigenes.
The Association commended the State
Governor, Chief Godswill Akpabio for
laying a solid foundation in the state
and for his contribution to the
emergence of Mr. Udom Emmanuel as
the next Governor of the state.
They also congratulated him for
emerging as the Senator-elect for Ikot
Ekpene Senatorial District and expressed
optimism that Chief Akpabio’s sojourn in
the upper chambers of the national
Assembly would be of immense benefit
to the people of Ikot Ekpene Senatorial
District in particular and the state in
general.
The Association also felicitated one of
their illustrious sons and Member-elect
for Abak State Constituency, Elder Friday
Iwok on his resounding victory at the
polls
They noted that the result was a clear
testimony to the fact that the people of
Abak State Constituency appreciated the
performance of Elder Friday Iwok
during his first term.
The Association commended the
Obongunwana Abak for breaking the
jinx by becoming the first Lawmaker in
the history of Abak State Constituency to
go back to the State House of Assembly
for a second term.
The Association thanked the people of
Abak for voting massively for their son,
Elder Friday Iwok assuring that having
set a record in the history of
representation in the area during his
first term, the Chairman House
Committee on Health will use his wealth
of experience to attract more dividends
of democracy to the people of the
Constituency.
