Nicolas Otamendi To Join Red Devils Within Days


Wayne Rooney joked new team-mate Bastian Schweinsteiger deserved the red card he received the last time the pair met on a pitch.

United have already raided Bayern for £15m signing Bastian Schweinsteiger this summer, and chairman Karl Heinz Rummennigge is under pressure not to lose any more big names.

Old Trafford boss Van Gaal a huge fan of World Cup winner Muller, 25, having worked with him during his time in charge of Bayern.

United are looking to add another striker before the September 1 transfer deadline, having sold Robin van Persie and not taken up the option to sign Radamel Falcao on a permanent deal.
